Stories that Matter

Cultivating Sustainability and Culture at New Plymouth's Airport.

New Plymouth Airport is more than a regional gateway – it’s a connection point for the Taranaki region, rich in cultural identity and committed to sustainability. With a strong focus on creating a culturally vibrant and environmentally responsible airport, New Plymouth Airport continues to shape its identity around the values of community, heritage, and innovation.

The Challenge

While New Plymouth Airport had been steadily building a suite of meaningful projects, they lacked a online presence leaving many of these stories without the visibility or recognition they deserved.

It was our job to bring these stories to life under a cohesive brand, creating a home for the airport’s values-driven work and turning these efforts into a compelling story the public could connect with.

They needed a space to show, not just tell, the world who they are and what they stand for.

The Strategy

We developed Stories That Matter, a dedicated digital hub designed to spotlight the airport’s key projects and initiatives.

The platform was created as an extension of New Plymouth Airport’s existing branding, ensuring visual consistency with other materials we had already been working on.

By weaving these touchpoints together, we helped establish a unified, professional design language that could carry through all their communications. The website serves as a storytelling engine: a place to showcase projects, share cultural milestones, and give travellers and locals alike a reason to feel proud of their regional airport.

The Results

airportstories.co.nz launched as a beautiful, easy-to-navigate platform that captures the heart of New Plymouth Airport’s mission.

From sustainability wins to cultural collaborations, the stories now have a permanent home, one that reflects the airport’s commitment to Taranaki and to the people who pass through its doors.

The platform doesn’t just document progress, it creates a sense of place, purpose, and pride. And as the story of the airport continues to unfold, the website is ready to grow with it.
